Michael Edwards
Michael is chairman of Budbrooke Community Association CIO. He moved to Hampton Magna in 1972 attended Aylesford School and has been involved in many voluntary roles within the community whilst running the local shop. After a twelve year break managing the family holiday business in Dartmouth he has returned with his wife Caroline to be near his Grandchildren. Michael is looking forward to being involved with the planned refurbishment and enjoys supporting the committee with their social fundraising events. |
Julia Smith
Vice-chair of the Budbrooke Community Association CIO. Having previously been Chairperson since 2013, along with the Management Committee she has worked tirelessly to keep the centre open and welcoming to all visitors. Julia has been married for 32 years, and has lived in Hampton Magna for most of that time. With 3 children now grown up, she has also been a registered childminder since 1994. Because of this, she has been able to maintain a close connection with everything happening in the village - especially the Toddlers Group, Pre-School, and Budbrooke Primary School. The Community Centre is an important part of her life. |
Alex Davis
Alex has been Treasurer of the Budbrooke Community Association CIO, since 2012 and enjoys working with other volunteers to manage the community centre. She has a background in finance, and also has previous experience as a charity treasurer and trustee. She has lived in Hampton Magna since 2010, and been involved with some of the regular activities at the centre through her children, including Tots, Pre-School and dance classes. Alex is looking forward to being involved with the planned refurbishment and improvements to the Community Centre over the next few years. |
Linda Price
Linda has lived in Hampton Magna since November 1976. Along with other Mums, Linda started up the Toddlers Group, in 1978! Serving also on the PTA, Linda combined a busy working life with activities in the community. Highlights of her professional career include Student Support Management at Warwickshire College, and some 15 years as a Community Development Worker for local disadvantaged areas. She became Secretary of the Budbrooke Community Association CIO, in October 2016, and enjoys the challenge this role brings to her life. |
